Initially, I intended to utilize this area to showcase my collection of photos that highlight my appreciation of both architecture and aviation; yet, as with anything original, other ideas and interests converged. In this case, these other loves were the arts, design, and lifestyle aspects. I want to portray those five interests in my work in a way that ultimately creates meaningful narratives by using my unique perspective as a photographer.

Why “The 16,000 Studio”?

The 16,000 Studio was inspired by one of the six non-intersecting runways at Denver International Airport (DEN): 16R/34L. At 16,000 feet long, or three miles long, it is the longest commercial runway in North America. Of course, I had to throw in some aviation influence.

The iPhone

Over the years, I've owned several iPhones, and that's how I've taken almost every single photo I have to date. Even before the idea for The 16,000 Studio was conceived, I was in love with the features of Apple products. I am aware of how great the Apple community is for my profession. Visual storytelling that is appealing, captivating, exciting, and effective can be produced with any camera. It so happens that I have a strong affinity for iPhones.
